A Welcome Note from Karen

With our historic restoration nearing completion, the Beachview Bed and Breakfast is both the newest and oldest bed and breakfast on Tybee Island.
Originally opened in the 1920’s, the restoration has been extensive. We carefully removed each historic board, where necessary for structural integrity, rebuilt the walls and reattached the historic boards. The wiring, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, insulation, windows and bathroom fixtures have been replaced to conserve energy and improve comfort. At the same time we’ve made every effort to preserve the Historic Credibility of the Beachview. For instance, we pulled up the 100 year old heart pine floors, installed subflooring and then cleaned and reinstalled the heart pine.
The Beachview Bed and Breakfast’s Historic Southern Charm and Beach Atmosphere make it the perfect place to host your wedding or family reunion. The intimate suites are perfect for those seeking Romantic encounters. And with 90 years under our belt and resident ghost of the original owner, Ophelia Wallace, those seeking a Historic or Paranormal Adventure need search no further.
Above all, when you stay with us, we want you to feel at home. Our home is your home. So feel free to kick back and relax with a good book or socialize with fellow travelers on our broad covered verandas. And in Ophelia’s Lounge, whether late night or early morning, you will find hot fresh brewed coffee, a cold beverage and homemade snacks.
I look forward to making your stay with us memorable and hassle free.

Hostess, Owner and Inn Keeper
